Welcome to the Associates for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Our website offers information on our services, patient education and information, and online patient registration forms. The Associates for Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (AOMS) practice was started in 1970 by Dr. Joel P. Slaughter, and incorporated in 1972. The central office in Medford was originally opened at 826 East Main Street in 1970. Over the past thirty years, AOMS has had a long standing history of excellent patient care and great patient and doctor referrals allowing for tremendous growth. This growth has enabled the practice to expand and construct a modern outpatient surgical clinic of over 7,000 square feet located in Medford at 1625 East McAndrews Road Suite A across from Providence Medford Medical Center. The practice currently includes two satellite offices in Grants Pass and Klamath Falls. Dr. Slaughter formally announced his retirement in August of 2000. AOMS is currently run and owned by Dr. James D. Savage and Dr. Rajiv Rajagopal. Both doctors are board certified surgeons and are Diplomates of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
